astigmatism

you got to realise
that a defect in my eyes
don't minimise
or jeopardise
my sight, my vision, or my ability to make my people wise,
to make my people rise against lies,
to shatter iron ties,
to question and criticise,
regardless of size,
any corporate or government franchise,
to make noise,
to brutalise
the skies
with conscious cries
for my people's piece of the prize.
