I think you have aa excellent site and I greatly appreciate that
you voice your opinion so freely! I understsand where you are
coming from even though I'm not Guyana-born. Unfortunately I am
a Guyanese and Puerto Rican mix (what was my mom thinking lol).
Probably about her citizenship hehe. Keep up the good work.

my reply to the above
Hello,
Thanks for your compliments on the site. It's
nice that you admire me speaking freely at GuyanaTruth. However,
I must say--as I've been saying to a few people lately--that it's
much more important that _you_ speak _your_ mind freely.
I admire your interest in Guyana. That's really
good--you can never forget your roots.
I've seen too many people come to America and
forget their own people. Even though you weren't born in Guyana
or Puerto Rico, there is still a lot you can do for Guyanese and
Puerto Ricans. Even in America the fight for the people's liberty
and _true_ democracy continues, and you can participate in this
fight. Remember that birthplace is arbitrary and meaningless.
Culture and ancestry are important.
Your theory of your mother considering her
American citizenship when getting married is most likely correct,
as it's very common for young Guyanese girls to marry Guyanese-American
citizens for this reason.
Thanks again for taking the time to send in
your comments. Later.
G.U.M.
