in may 2002, i listed five issues that i was primarily concerned
about and i called this page 'the issues.' i also created a page
for the 'writings on issues.' it didn't take long before i became
overwhelmed with dozens of problems in guyana--with the race vote,
corporate exploitation of the people and land, cultural dilution
and migration being some of the most urgent. so instead of writing
on the five listed items only, i've been making posts about all
sorts of issues.
so version 2 of 'the issues' has been created
as a list of the issues that deeply concern me and other people
to different degrees. also, 'writings on issues' will no longer
be updated because the posts on the home page that tackle the
listed issues will be put in the 'archives'.
